Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you’re looking for workforce support or searching for your next opportunity, we’ve answered some of the most common questions about how Shift Fillers works, what to expect, and how we support both employers and workers.

Shift Fillers provides workforce solutions across labor-intensive industries, with particular strength in high-volume operational environments.

Industries supported include:

  • Agriculture
  • Manufacturing, including food production (refrigeration and freezer), technology, automotive, and pharmaceutical
  • Transportation and logistics
  • Warehousing and distribution
  • Wholesale and retail

Yes, Shift Fillers offers a dedicated onsite staffing solution designed to support both employees and clients in operationally complex environments. Our onsite model delivers daily workforce coordination, attendance management, onboarding support, employee relations, payroll oversight, safety reinforcement, and real-time communication with client leadership to ensure production continuity and workforce stability.

Onsite support is typically deployed once active headcount reaches 50 employees, providing full shift coverage and hands-on production management. As headcount increases, additional onsite coordinators are added to maintain appropriate coverage, responsiveness, and continuity across all shifts.

This layered approach ensures consistent service quality, strengthens safety and compliance, and enables rapid adaptation to changing production demands. Our onsite teams are backed by centralized and local recruiting, dedicated back-office HR support, technology-enabled workforce management tools, KPI tracking, and comprehensive safety programs— ensuring accountability, performance consistency, and scalability as workforce needs evolve.

For locations with fewer than 50 employees, onsite coverage may still be available through a pro-rated administrative fee and, in some cases, is included for large national accounts.

Ramp timelines vary based on market conditions and volume requirements, but Shift Fillers is built for rapid deployment. For many high-volume operations, we are able to begin filling positions immediately and scale quickly through proactive recruiting pipelines and onsite execution.

Yes. Shift Fillers supports regional and national workforce programs across multiple facilities and states, with centralized coordination and scalable onsite support models.

Yes, Shift Fillers provides real-time reporting dashboards and detailed performance reviews to give clients clear visibility into workforce and operational performance. Our reporting covers key areas such as recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, timekeeping, payroll, retention, turnover, safety, and workers’ compensation activity.

We track core staffing metrics including fill rate, time-to-fill, attendance, overtime utilization, turnover, retention, incident trends, and other site-specific KPIs. We also monitor the full candidate intake process — from initial application through placement — including workflow timing, requirement completion, and points where candidates may drop off.

Data is reviewed regularly by onsite managers, regional leadership, and client stakeholders to identify trends, address performance gaps, and implement corrective action plans. Clients can receive reporting through dashboards, scheduled weekly/monthly/quarterly reports, and Quarterly Business Reviews. Custom reporting may also be available upon request.

Shift Fillers operates as a workforce partner — not just a staffing vendor. We combine recruiting, onsite execution, compliance management, workforce systems, and performance optimization to help clients improve operational outcomes, not simply fill open roles.

Our model is built for high-volume, regulated manufacturing environments where workforce stability, safety, attendance, and compliance directly impact production. We tailor each program to the facility’s production demands, shift structure, regulatory requirements, and labor market conditions rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

Key differentiators include proactive talent pipelines, embedded onsite leadership, safety-focused execution, and experience supporting environments with GMP, food safety, sanitation, temperature control, line-speed, and attendance requirements. Our teams continuously recruit, screen, re-screen, and prepare candidates so clients have access to a reliable, compliant, and production-ready workforce.

Shift Fillers is designed to support the full labor program — from recruiting through day-to-day execution, performance tracking, compliance, and continuous improvement.
